Cookie Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Level Up Labs (a DBA of Level Up Technology LLC) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Factimonious platform at https://factimonious.ai and associated web interfaces (collectively, the "Service"). This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
By continuing to use the Service, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. You may adjust your cookie preferences at any time as described in Section 5.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or application when you visit. They are widely used to enable websites to function, improve user experience, and provide reporting information. Cookies set by the website operator are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website operator are called "third-party cookies."
In addition to traditional cookies, we may use similar tracking technologies such as web beacons (clear GIFs), pixel tags, local storage objects, and session storage. For simplicity, this policy refers to all such technologies collectively as "cookies."
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We use the following categories of cookies on the Service. Strictly Necessary and Payment cookies are exempt from consent requirements because they are technically essential to deliver the Service; Functional and Analytics and Performance cookies are non-essential and are set only with your consent in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Québec, as described in Section 5 below.
| Category | Purpose | Examples and Description |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Service operation | Authentication tokens, session identifiers, security tokens, load balancing. These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. |
| Functional | Preferences and settings | User interface preferences, language settings, dashboard layout. These cookies remember your choices and personalize your experience. |
| Analytics and Performance | Service improvement | Usage statistics, feature interaction data, error logging, performance monitoring. These cookies help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. |
| Payment | Secure transactions | Cookies set by Stripe, our payment processor, to enable secure payment processing, fraud prevention, and checkout functionality. Governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy. |
We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. We do not permit third-party advertisers to set cookies through the Service.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Certain third-party services integrated with the Service may set their own cookies. These third parties are responsible for their own cookie practices. Key third-party cookies you may encounter include:
Stripe: Cookies set for secure payment processing and fraud prevention. See stripe.com/cookies for details.
Analytics providers: Cookies used to collect anonymized usage statistics. We configure these providers to anonymize IP addresses and limit data sharing.
We do not share personal information with third-party cookie providers beyond what is necessary for their respective functions.
5. Your Cookie Choices
5.1 Consent
On your first visit to the Service from the EEA, UK, or other jurisdiction requiring cookie consent, we present a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies (Functional and Analytics and Performance cookies, as identified in Section 3). You may change your preferences at any time by visiting the cookie preferences center in the Service settings. Where you have enabled a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, we will treat that signal as a request to decline non-essential cookies and, where applicable under the CCPA/CPRA, as an opt-out preference signal, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
5.2 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through browser settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies, accept only certain cookies, or alert you when a cookie is set. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly.
Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:
Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
Mozilla Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions > Cookies and Site Data
5.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. The Service currently does not respond to DNT signals. If an industry-standard approach to honoring DNT signals is established, we will revisit this practice.
5.4 Opt-Out of Analytics Cookies
You may opt out of analytics cookie collection at any time through the cookie preferences center in your account settings.
6. Cookie Retention
Cookies remain on your device for different periods depending on their type:
Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser;
Persistent cookies: Remain for a defined period, typically between thirty (30) days and two (2) years, depending on the purpose.
A detailed list of specific cookies used, their names, purposes, and retention periods is available in the cookie preferences center within the Service.
7. International Users
For users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, we rely on your consent as the legal basis for setting non-essential cookies, consistent with the ePrivacy Directive and applicable national implementing laws (including the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations). For users in Switzerland, we rely on your consent as the legal basis for setting non-essential cookies, consistent with Swiss data protection and telecommunications law. For users in Québec, Canada, we also rely on your consent as the legal basis for setting non-essential cookies and other tracking technologies, consistent with Québec’s Law 25. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent as they are technically required to deliver the Service.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice and will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
